I slept in, and then went to the store with my mom to get stuff for the present Im making my boyfriend. I saw my friend at the store and we talked for a bit. Then I came home and just hung around, missing my boyfriend (hes visiting his old friend like 7 hours away) and when I finally talked to him he told me he was staying an extra day and wont be back until late Tuesday night. Tuesdays our anniversary. So ****.
And when I told my mom I wanted to do correspondence instead of going back to actual school this year, she flipped out and started screaming and swearing and throwing things. I told my dad what happened and he didnt really seem to care. So I cried for a while.

I see a lot of people on here referring to Clinton's stimulus bill in 1993. There is a slight difference. Clinton's stimulus bill was $16 billion, not $787 billion. No Republican voted for it then either. You can not buy your way out of debt. I see a lot of people on here referring to Clinton's stimulus bill in 1993. There is a slight difference. Clinton's stimulus bill was $16 billion, not $787 billion. No Republican voted for it then either. You can not buy your way out of debt. Its one thing to create a stimulus package that results in the government getting some money back by making low interest loans, etc. Its another just to spend, spend, spend. What I want our politicians to do is to ask this question. ';Why are energy prices going up';? There is no shortage of natural gas - the Dutch have the major part of the North Sea gas fields - we buy from them.
There is an estimated 200 years of coal beneath our feet here in Britain. What are we waiting for? Get digging.
The reason for the increase [often in the region of 15% or more] in the price of fuel is lead by greed. Nothing else. Not a reasonable profit, but greed.
We were told that if we switched energy suppliers we could avoid the increases for a while. Not so. It is a lie. All the energy companies operate as a cartell - they all charge the same for their energy.
The simple way to control energy prices is to Nationalise the energy businesses.
Of course I realise there is a whole generation of people now in UK who have never experienced living in a Socialist country where prices were controlled when the people owned everything.
My water company is French. Just how effin' stupid is that?

It's the same with everything, the cost of raw materials go up, the prices go up to reflect it. The cost goes back down, the price to the consumers stays the same or if you do get a reduction, it's not as much as the initial rise anyway.

The only time the government ever tried to reduce fuel costs was back in the 70's when they instituted price controls, and the energy companies sabotaged that effort by creating shortages. Turned out to be a near disaster.

It doesn't mention that people with token meters or key meters also pay a charge for having a meter, so their increase will be nearer 20%. Oddly, it's often people who have got in arrears that have these meters, so again the poor and disadvantaged are paying more.
The 'liberalised' UK market this article speaks of is another term for the privatization of energy. It is an inefficient model if you're trying to reduce consumption.
After all, it's not in the interest of shareholders for their customers to reduce usage. The only way to reduce output and still pay their dividends is to increase prices and see by how much before the public squeaks. What is suspicious is that these companies all increased at the same percentage rate, more or less.
Also, shareholders' profit is supposed to be built on the investment they're making in the company. But the Grid and most of the existing infrastructure was built from UK taxes. Thatcher and her cronies helped themselves to the country's silverware through privatisation. I hope that this enquiry exposes some of the vested interests politicians old and new have in the Great Energy Theft .

Putin is perfectly right to target Europe if the US tries to set up missile defense systems there. It was the US that pulled out of the anti ballistic missile treaty and the simple fact is that, while the US say the defence shield is to prevent attacks from rogue states like Iran and N. Korea, these nations have no missiles capable of reaching the US. Fair play to Putin for standing up for his country and sticking two fingers up to the US. Good on him for testing and developing weapons that can evade this system. If the US are no worried about Russia then they shouldn't be worried about their missile capability!!!

Putin is perfectly right to target Europe if the US tries to set up missile defense systems there. It was the US that pulled out of the anti ballistic missile treaty and the simple fact is that, while the US say the defence shield is to prevent attacks from rogue states like Iran and N. Korea, these nations have no missiles capable of reaching the US. Fair play to Putin for standing up for his country and sticking two fingers up to the US. Good on him for testing and developing weapons that can evade this system. If the US are no worried about Russia then they shouldn't be worried about their missile capability!!!

It makes Americans angry when Mexicans carry Mexican flags at a rally and demand that Americans give them American rights and pay to support them.

I believe that if you migrate to the U.S.A. from whatever country you should learn the language, English in case you didn't know, and not use your native language. If I were to move to Mexico, I would learn Mexican, or Spanish if I were to move to Spain or French for France. I wouldn't expect them to learn my language just so we could communicate, that's not a reasonable request. I would go by that countries rules, just like I expect any immigrant to do here in the U.S.A. Show us the respect you would expect us to show in your country.
Immigrants from any country that are here legally are not the problem, it's the ones that are here illegally that create a problem. They burden the people that do pay taxes while they get all the benefits of those taxes without having to actually pay any of them.

What do women in this forum expect to achieve by debating men who don't, won't and never will have the compassion to give a damn about anything that any woman here has to say? Do you think you're earning points on the scoreboard of higher morality by engaging fools with the intellect of imbeciles? Is this some kind of pissing match? Instead of ranting about the men who rant against you, why not just consistently block them from your conversations? Or is that something your deeper woman would never allow you to do? Kind of like an instinctual impulse to please men, no matter how inappropriately they behave with you? Why don't you stop asking questions like this, and take charge of your destiny, and simply remove them from your existence? But if People think that constructive criticism involves insults, demeaning and/or is degrading in nature, then, they only devalue themselves to questions or answers that is of a legitimate query. And therefore, your perception of a ';level playing field'; does not become an equal or balanced field in that manner. It's just a playing field to throw out rants, accusations and senseless drivels.

Hey, on your list of crimes you forgot that it was 'feminists on the 'grassy knoll'......
All joking aside, the reason why these men constantly post things like what you've described is because they don't know how to look after themselves and they were taught supposedly well-defined roles in life and anything that doesn't match how they feel or what they view to be reality, they 'throw the dummy out of the pram' and do the ol' misery loves company. So, instead of looking around at reality and seeing life for what it really is, they look for someone to blame. They want the rest of the world to be just as miserable as they are so they look to change the views of ALL of the world and go back to a time where women had no say in life in general.
I'm sure these men are very welcome in Saudi Arabia where 'their women' can stay at home and never leave the house unless accompanied by a man, along with not having an education and you can forget about voting as well.
These ranters want it both ways. They want to argue points up and down yet want to be able to put that same woman 'in her place'. It isn't logical. The very fact that they CAN argue with the women around them is the result of feminism. They have forgotten that there was a time when a woman who spoke 'out of turn' would have been beaten by her husband and that would have been acceptable.
The interesting part is in my years on this planet, I have only met TWO women who were what anyone would insultingly call a 'feminazi' and these women I felt sorry for because I could tell their views were the result of being badly burned by the men in their lives and like wounded animals they were lashing out at the world, ie; men. Contrast this with the centuries of women having to bear sexist cartoons, harassment, beatings, rapes, you name it and these things were ALL acceptable and weren't the result of any kind of damage or individual response to a negative stimulus.
Do any of us really want to go back to that sort of world? Also, there is a definite need for the strength of women that these whingers and ranters and wind-up merchants miss completely. Let's be real and look at the majority. Men rape and murder about 10000 to 1 compared to women. Now if there are women in life who follow these strict gender roles - set by men - then where is the voice of reason? That wife, girlfriend, partner who will stand up to a man when he is considering a despicable act. In fact, if one looks at the case of Myra Hindley, it isn't hard to consider that if she'd been taught that men aren't the rulers of all and that she had a voice, then might she have not been swayed by him to follow along in such senseless, detrimental acts? She would have been much less likely to seek his approval by following along.
For all the men I see and hear about who live out the cliche of 'that man needs a 'good woman' there are those who can't see past the nose on the end of their face and see that the 'good women' they are looking for ARE the very same feminists they are condemning. This is a trite generalisation but one that is needed to get the point across.
Obviously, there are sensible, intelligent men in the world but we aren't addressing them are we?
I, for one, don't have the luxury of sitting at home waiting for 'Mr Right' to come along because I have bills and rent to pay. We don't live in the world anymore where we have these 'women sit at home tugging the forelock' and men go out and do what the hell they want anymore.
That isn't the result of 'feminism'. The world would have had a majour shift in governments, economy, sociology and geography. The world will continue to change and we either must 'go with the flow' or be rigid and watch as the world changes and we sit there making ourselves bitter and crying about what 'could have been' or how we'd like the world to be.
I've spent my whole life travelling and it would be in this late stage of life, near impossible for me to 'settle down' with a man who was (a) less experienced (b) less intelligent and (c) argumentative. Who has time to teach their husband, boyfriend, partner everything about everything in life?
I look at these ranters as 'weak'. If they were strong they would look at themselves and use their precious energy to make the world a better place instead of using it to lash out at all and sundry.
Really. I find 'jokes' about rape on this forum disturbing and the reason why it is disturbing is because if the rest of the world began to make something so abominable as rape a laughing stock then understanding of the damage it does would lose it's potency. Sort of like how HIV is still around yet young people nowadays take unbelievable risks and also actively seek out those who are infected in order to become infected themselves. It isn't a joke.
It appears that all this supposed humour is coming from a well of misunderstanding. I read that one man brought up that rape isn't about power and that 'feminist logic' is wrong. The last I heard or looked, penetrating someone's anus with a broom handle and leaving their intestines ruptured and internally bleeding - as in the case of a man who was raped by some officers in the NYPD years ago - wasn't what I and most of the world would consider 'sexy'.

This is a typical illogical feminist argument; they fail to establish causation between their assertions and their conclusions. All joking aside, the reason why these men constantly post things like what you've described is because they don't know how to look after themselves and they were taught supposedly well-defined roles in life and anything that doesn't match how they feel or what they view to be reality, they 'throw the dummy out of the pram' and do the ol' misery loves company. So, instead of looking around at reality and seeing life for what it really is, they look for someone to blame. They want the rest of the world to be just as miserable as they are so they look to change the views of ALL of the world and go back to a time where women had no say in life in general.
I'm sure these men are very welcome in Saudi Arabia where 'their women' can stay at home and never leave the house unless accompanied by a man, along with not having an education and you can forget about voting as well.
These ranters want it both ways. They want to argue points up and down yet want to be able to put that same woman 'in her place'. It isn't logical. The very fact that they CAN argue with the women around them is the result of feminism. They have forgotten that there was a time when a woman who spoke 'out of turn' would have been beaten by her husband and that would have been acceptable.
The interesting part is in my years on this planet, I have only met TWO women who were what anyone would insultingly call a 'feminazi' and these women I felt sorry for because I could tell their views were the result of being badly burned by the men in their lives and like wounded animals they were lashing out at the world, ie; men. Now if there are women in life who follow these strict gender roles - set by men - then where is the voice of reason? That wife, girlfriend, partner who will stand up to a man when he is considering a despicable act. In fact, if one looks at the case of Myra Hindley, it isn't hard to consider that if she'd been taught that men aren't the rulers of all and that she had a voice, then might she have not been swayed by him to follow along in such senseless, detrimental acts? She would have been much less likely to seek his approval by following along.
For all the men I see and hear about who live out the cliche of 'that man needs a 'good woman' there are those who can't see past the nose on the end of their face and see that the 'good women' they are looking for ARE the very same feminists they are condemning. This is a trite generalisation but one that is needed to get the point across.

Really. I find 'jokes' about rape on this forum disturbing and the reason why it is disturbing is because if the rest of the world began to make something so abominable as rape a laughing stock then understanding of the damage it does would lose it's potency. Imagine if no opposing argument to feminism here existed, and this entire forum was just one monopolized feminist male-bashing orgy? Well, we definitely didn't allow that to happen. Also, we've also changed the minds of *potential* feminist women that were in limbo, unsure of which direction to take. I've received many e-mails from women telling me that I've provided them a lot of insight, and how they refuse to align themselves with feminism and misandry -- some even said they made these decisions after reading many of my posts.
I also reject your statement that this is a ';women's forum';. That was an incredibly sexist statement you made. Men have as much of a right to post here as women. Are you saying that men should have no input on issues regarding gender and women? There is no rule on Answers stating that this forum is for women only.
Your question here only shows how little you understand of a much bigger picture. The righteous and moral protests against feminism %26amp; misandry will continue. The fight against feminism and misandry on this forum (and in society) will continue to gain momentum. The support for men's rights will only continue to grow. There's nothing you can do about it, so deal with it. The only way you can stop it is if you stop misandry.
What we ';hope to accomplish'; here is a balanced discourse that involves men's issues and concerns as well, in a feminist society that wishes to shun all men's legitimate complaints, and only focus on women's issues.
We will CONTINUE to illuminate the misandry and feminist hypocrisy that hurts men, which is prevalent in society -- whether you like it or not.
EDIT: Tera, how about reading my entire answer? Saying ';oh yeah, but men do it too'; is immature and adds nothing to the discussion. You failed at refuting any of my answers to your questions. Your entire question is flawed from the root.
EDIT: Tera, let me just add that Mitch Burley completely SLAYED you and your argument, and debunked your flawed, anti-male assertions. I'd like to see you either logically refute his point, or to actually take in what he said with an open-mind from an educational perspective.
It's apparent that you're not really looking for ';answers'; from the ';anti-feminists';. You're not looking to be educated by the answers from the ';anti-feminists';. You're only looking for people to blindly agree with you. As you admitted yourself, you're ';just here to vent';.
EDIT: Saberchick, many men post up legitimate, civilized questions that is somewhat critical of an aspect of feminism, and the misandrist feminist women will go on the attack. Another thing we have a problem with, is with feminists painting all women and feminists as angels, even though we've seen some very rude, evil, nasty feminist women that have unfairly attacked men.
Also, according to Flyinghorse, our complaints against feminism and misandry is just a figment of our fantastical imaginations. There is actually no misandry or socially-accepted anti-male culture that men have to live with everyday. We just decided to make it up, because according to the pseudo-poet Flyinghorse, we have boring jobs and are unattractive.
Women that are in denial and claim that misandry and anti-male sexism doesn't exist, are anti-male sexists themselves.
EDIT (Flyinghorse): I read your entire answer. It was filled with anti-male bias and support for male-bashing women. You women support the same anti-male system you claim doesn't exist, without even knowing it.

While I will admit that a few of the anti-feminists here have made occasional good points, the others here are simply striving for a dominance in this forum that will never come.
TERA is deluded
I'm actually pretty active in real life. Me and many of my male friends are starting a Male only discussion group to discuss Men issue and to fight feminism and their hypocrisy.
We hope to educate people on what a sham feminism is, and what a hazard it is to society.
We want to be part of the solution. You don't mind being part of the problem.

@TERA - No offence intended, lovie, but this forum IS called ';Gender %26amp; Women's Studies'; and is open to both sexes. Personally I think it should be renamed ';Gender Studies'; to avoid further confusion.
I hope that they will agree to stay in the kitchen cooking dinner for us men and that they will do what they are told and speak only when spoken to. And they should also have the house clean for us coming home from work or else there will be trouble, and they should also do everything to please us in bed or else we can bring our bit on the side home instead

Anti-feminists think they are right so they think they can change minds. Just like religious people are convinced that their religion is the one true path to god. They can't help it. The best thing you can do is to feel sorry for them because they are not caught up with the 21st century.
