you must go to a good school. i go to a college-prep school and we have at least 3 hours every night. its the third week of school, and for ap english i have already written 8 papers (and by tommorrow it will be 10).
oh my, yes. i get about the same amount of homework, but i have 2 days to do it because i only have my classes every other day. and yeah, no sleep. although last year it was worse, i had to wake up at 5:15, this year i can sleep till 5:30. (wow, a whole 15 minutes!) plus you know, marching band, graduation project (which you start in 9th grade), honors college, etc. etc.
thanks for letting me vent all that lol.
i hear you. but despite all my homework i still am doing pretty good. A's B's and 2 C's wanna know what my day is like?

3:30 - 5:30 FOOTBALL
6:00 - 7:00 shower, eat
7:00 - 9:30 HOMEWORK

Ughhh me too. I'm 15 as well, but I'm a sophomore. As much as I love school, there are days when I just get so much homework. The classes are sometimes boring, and everything's just BLEH!! I like lunch time though. That's the best.
Yea I have the same problem. I am in cheerleading and that is constant practice and games that take up your whole evening. I get hours of homework, because I take CP classes, because I want to go to college. It is such a struggle to keep my grades up.
I'm sorry, I'm a freshman too and taking AP classes and we hardly get homework. If we do I usually just copy off my friends or I don't do it at all. And yet somehow I've managed to make As and Bs since 5th grade by doing that...
wowee when i was a frshman we had no homework.. and if we did we would do it in study hall.. wich is like 20 mins.. then we go to lunch an what nots.. and its still is the same this year and im a sophmore.. lol and im in JROTC

highschool is tuff.(freshman speaking lol) however...its more fun in my eyes. yea homework is the ******* hardest now. and matters the most. and i get 5 hours of sleep, plus all the stress. but i get more independence, and i never get independence at home. i love school(never thought id say that lol)
omg I'm a freshmen too and I get drowned of homework. Not enough sleep, I barley get to hangout with friends anymore and I want to do a after school activity because alot of people are making friends that way but I have the feeling I won't have time.
ahhh yess, im a freshman too. i feel SO dettached from all my friends because im in a highschool with over 3,000 people and the building is even larger than some colleges! can you imagine how hard it is to find my way around?
especially since some staircases only lead outside, some of them skip floors, some only go up or down one floor... and only around 4 staircases go to every floor... AND THERE'S FOUR FLOORS.

freshmen, here too.
i run cross country in the fall, and track in the spring; that's my only extracurricular activities this year.
hw isn't too bad yet, even if i get hw every day in algebra 2...
i have a feeling it'll get worse though; it's only my 3rd week of school.
last year, in 8th, one time i had to stay up all night working on hw, and go to school the next day...
%26amp; of course, i'm an over achiever so i do everything like 150%.
ooh.
forgot to mention.
all pre-ap classes this year.
as i get older, i'm going to drop some advanced classes in science, and maybe in english.
but [pre] ap all 4 years in math %26amp; history/geography.
Ugh, I know. There is so much homework; it just doesn't seem to end. I have two days to do it also because I'm on block schedule, but it really is stressful. I don't get enough sleep either, but I do love high school because of all the people I've met. My school is huge though! I've gotten lost and was a half hour late to one of my classes the other day. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to go to school. *sigh*

yeah thats high school for you... what you need to do is learn how to manage your homework, some assignments are important and you should do, others you can do in the first 5mins of class and B*S your way thru... that should cut your homework time down to less than an hour a day if you can manage that...
I've made it through to grade 12 doing homework less than once a week and getting mostly Bs and As
Im a sophmore now but in my school freshman year was super easy but this year seems to be a little harder so for now I'm letting the good times roll until I take IB courses next year
Well drop some extra activities you do!! im a freshie to and i have stress and all that and i just do school then come home do home work walk the dog and i am thinking about joining drama club!
are you seious? i get , like no homework! or class work fo rthat matter, school is just too easy for me! anyways, i can relate to the whole sleep thing though, i wish we were the ones who could go to school at 900 instead iof those little elementary school kids

I think homework is really stupid. We already spent eight hours at school and we need to be able to relax afterwards. I usually get my homework done really quick and I don't do any extracurricular activities so I don't really have that problem unless I wait till the last minute do do my homework(I know, I'm really lazy).
man, that must suck! I'm a freshman to but i rarely get homework!

umm nope i never get that much homework and im a junior what are you in collage prep? if you feel this way how about talking to your guidance counselor and getting applied or something.
i dont get any homework at my school.
