On Y!A, a 'rant' is anything the Yamster's 'opinion' says it is.WHAT is the difference between a ';Rant'; and an Opinion ???
An opinion is concise, by and large; a rant burns me out after a paragraph or so, and several turns of the scroll-wheel downward.
When I'm still able to express myself politely, I'm offering an opinion.





When I'm too angry to care about being polite any longer, it's a 'rant'!!! :)

I think a rant is when their opinion becomes one-sided and ignorant as if they know they are right and everything else is wrong.

An opinion is usually concise and to the point. It has logic backing it and a sense that the person has some idea what they are talking about.


A rant is the opposite. It goes way off topic many times, and is purely passion based in nature. This usually means that the person has an opinion, but doesn't have sufficient backing to say it.
So, you got a violation too huh? Yeah, I got caught with that too. I fought it and won, but still, it helped me understand that if I sound like I am defending a cause or a statement, it's a rant. That is if I post a question about it. Defense is not a question, it's a rant. You just need to really get creative with your wording, and as long as you can prove each question is placed in question form, the violation will be over turned and the reporter gets a nasty gram from yahoo. The guy that reported my question lost his account (suspended indefinitely) (multiple false reportings) so I danced around the room a bit on that one!
an opinion, u state what u think about something. example:. i think abortion is wrong because it is the killing of an innocent unborn child.





in a rant u usually complain about something/someone that made u angry. example. whoever has abortions is stupid because it is wrong. women who kill their unborn babies should be punished by law. dr. who perform the abortion should be burned. i am so angry by these morons.
