First, get the phone unlocked. Then you can use it on a Verizon plan.

Yes this is possible.
Just transfer your sim card to the new phone. I did this and I have a pebble(t-mobile phone) with an AT%26amp;T plan...
However, there will be limitations...
If you have picture msging and stuff on your plan, you will not be able to do that on your new phone...same with internet access, etc.
