What word do you hate the most? Let's hear your rant!?

I hate the word ';smart.'; People demean what I've accomplished by saying it's simply because I'm ';smart'; and not acknowledging that it is actually years of hard work. My friends use the word as an excuse not to listen to me whenever I want to share something. Me: ';Hey, guys, here's something funny I heard--.'; Them: ';Oh, don't tell that to us. It's too smart for us.';





I am taking out my anger in a rant against the word ';smart.';What word do you hate the most? Let's hear your rant!?
I hate the word ';tolerate'; or ';tolerant'; because it is almost always misused. Has anyone read the actual definition of ';tolerate';? It means that you put up with something you don't like, don't agree with, etc. Basically it means live and let live. But people think it means that you accept and condone and agree with *everything*. That isn't tolerance! Tolerance doesn't mean that at all. Drives me nuts. And as a result, any time you voice dissent or a differing opinion, you get slapped with ';intolerant!!'; even though by the word's definition you are a perfectly tolerant person.





';Bigot'; is another word that makes me crazy Any time you say that you think X or Y is wrong, people call you a bigot. But here is the definition of bigot: ';a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own; One strongly loyal to one's own social group, and irrationally and prejudicially intolerant or disdainful of others';. By that definition, simply expressing disagreement does not a bigot make. But people foolishly assume that it does.





I wish people would pick up a dictionary before blindly flinging around words that insult someone's character, and make sure it's actually warranted.What word do you hate the most? Let's hear your rant!?

'talent' is also used that way, yeah? like if a person has talent everything is easy for them.
