Do you always read every single word of a question - even if its a rant - before responding?

No. Sometimes I just go off half-****** and react based on the tone of the question.Do you always read every single word of a question - even if its a rant - before responding?
Nope.Do you always read every single word of a question - even if its a rant - before responding?
The mind does not read words like that to begin with...
Most of the time, unless it is repetative or LOOOOOONGGGG
Yeah, you can pretty much tell if I've given up reading a question. That is, if I don't respond.
Most of the time, I do. Honestly, if it is a rant and I can't make it through the question, I don't answer. I have misread a few times and looked like a jack$$$, though.
Nope, once in a while I'll answer and while reading other answers I realize I missed something.

On the rants, if they're more than a couple paragraphs I seldom read or answer.
No, but if I haven't read it all my answer is brief.
Yes, I try answering the question but, sometimes people go on ranting because they are in so much confusion and pain, they don't know how else to get out what they are feeling. Most of them need good counselors and some meds. but, each person is different. I usually try to make sense of a rant to see if they are in a desperate position, like committing suicide or hurting someone else and then try to steer them toward getting the proper help as soon as possible. Never know may be saving someones life.
If I read a question and get the inkling that it's merely a rant disguised as a question, I usually don't bother answering the question. The person isn't looking for a straight answer, just agreement to their point of view.

On the questions where there is a lot of additional information, you have to read everything in order to offer a good response usually. If the additional comments are too long, I don't always answer those questions. (I'm talking about the ones where you feel like you're scrolling down the screen forever in order to get to the responses.)
I read it, but sometimes not a thoroughly as I should. I've been called on that mistake many times.
In truth no.
