On the train the other day with my daughter and a woman asked me to move because my daughter had a cold. She started ranting about how parents have no consideration for anyone we shouldn't have children before 35 because we aren't mature enough. I wouldn't mind but the woman looked like a weasel and smelt like kebabs.Does anyone else hate peoplewho get on their soap box and rant?
Ha Haaaaaaaaaaaa!
Oh, oh....Good one!
Snooty ******!Does anyone else hate peoplewho get on their soap box and rant?
You'll always come across people like this in life thankfully only rarely. Don't let it worry you. Forget it. Move on.
what a cheek she had!
You obviously let her have her way or you wouldn't want to talk about it. Tell these people off man! It's a public place. If she doesn't like it she can move. That's how that works. Show no mercy and take no prisoners!!
I've noticed that those who rant and rave the loudest about my kids are themselves childless. I generally tell people like that to mind their own business and if they don't want to sit with me and my children to move themselves. I'm not a very nice person when someone disses my kids.
Silly woman, you should have knocked her off her soap box, colds aren't contagious once they start, its before it appears not after, so she had no idea what she was talking about anyway, bet her parents had her before they were 35 just so she could leave home sooner and not bother them in their old age.
H'mmmm. Well, actually she has a point regarding how rude and inconsiderate some parents can be, and how they sometimes subject other people to their children's obnoxious behaviour. I'm not sure why it's like that, but it seems to have changed for the worse. Used to not be that way.
But she could have moved herself. It's public transport. And you paid your fare. If you'd have moved, you would have subjected someone else to the cold virus. She was very rude.
There's nothing wrong with ranting - it's quite healthy.
Being offensive to an individual (especially a child) however is beyond reproach.
I'd have chucked her off the train, but waited until it was moving at full speed.
Im glad you feel about this, its makes you more human and open! hope your daughter get well soon.
What !
Should have stayed where you were and told her to move if it bothered her so much.Or just lured her away with a trail of weasel food.
In the circumstances you describe she was blatantly out of order - weasel lady, however, a really good friend/former high school teacher of mine loves to rant, and can go red in the face and go on for ever, his rants are always intelligent erudite and quite often hilarious - i love it when he rants.
